When I started this blog, I was hoping to write something every day. So much for that.
But today I’m headed back to Houston after a wonderful trip to see Katie and her family, at least her hubby who is to her kindest and most helpful partner to Katie that I could ever wish for. And both Steven and Gracie seem genuinely glad to spend time with me which is truly wonderful, given that they are in the throes of teenage-dom. Her older 2 are in LA and did a Friendsgiving with friends, of course.

Katie single handedly cooked the whole big T-giving dinner, and it was delicious and marvellous.
Gracie delighted me with her art, oboe and piano solos and introduced me to Season 5 of Stranger Things. She was in happy tears seeing Will onscreen again.
Steven was featured in an aviator magazine and spent some time with his girlfriend of over a year. He helped Dan trim their condo with lights and made sure the cars were decked out with reindeer ears/horns and a red nose.
My plans to return home came slightly earlier than planned as the family had tickets to see the musical Hadestown. I listened to the whole soundtrack on the plane and it was great! So original.
